PM Announcements Middle & High School Spirit Week for Monday is Winter Wonderland- Wear white and blue! Tuesday, December 21- Christmas Spirit- Wear your favorite ugly sweater and/or Christmas gear! Wednesday, December 22- Twas the Night Before Christmas (Break) Pajama Day 12/17 - They did it! SLC's Whiz Quiz team has defeated Lafargeville 185 - 115 in the Whiz Quiz Semi-finals. Dylan, Emily, John and Logan will now face Immaculate Heart Central of Watertown for the chance to become Whiz Quiz champions of the North Country. The special hour-long match will be played Friday at 7:00 on PBS (channel 12). You can also watch all the matches by going to WPBS.org. 12/17 - 12/22 - Clarkson University will be offering enrichment classes for students in grades 9-12 through the Project Challenge Program. If you are interested in participating, please see your school counselor for more information about the courses.

​Congratulations to SLC Whiz Quiz Team members Dylan Bissonette, John Dean Snyder, Logan Wultsch-Fuller, and Emily Taylor​ on winning the Whiz Quiz Championship! They earned the coveted title of 2021 Whiz Quiz Champions and the honor to take home the Glenn Gough Trophy! A scholarship of $1500 will be awarded to the school for their victory!

Clarkson University will be offering classes for academic enrichment for students in grades 9-12 through the Project Challenge Program starting on January 15. The program runs on Saturdays for five consecutive weekends. This year Project Challenge is offering the following classes: 1. Gaming the System: Experiencing Politics through Games and Simulations 2. Innovation in Industry: How to Bring a Product to Market 3. Show Me the Money – Personal Finance for Teens 4. Storytelling through Data 5. Wonders of the Brain 6. Contemporary Social Issues 7. Psychology: More than Reading Minds and Lying on Couches 8. Python Programming Crash Course 9. The Monsters Inside of Us Spaces in the various programs are limited so interested students should see their counselor before winter break if they are interested in registering for a class. Classes will be hosted on the Clarkson University campus and interested students would need to provide their own transportation. Course descriptions are available in the guidance office.

PM Announcements 12/8 - IMPETUS trip to Clarkson today. Meet in Mrs. Bissonette’s room by 3:20. Any IMPETUS student needing a place to stay should report to the sports studyhall for activity period. 12/8 - The weight room is at capacity and only the students that Coach Truax responded to are eligible to attend. 12/8 - No activity period for middle and high school students today. Extended day students should report to the middle school gym and athletes should report to the cafeteria for sports study hall.

Anyone in grades 9-12 interested in participating in a play both as performers and crew this March should attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, December 7 in the auditorium at 2:30 with Mr. Ruddy and Mrs. Burnett. Auditions will be held on Thursday, December 9 after school. Please email Mr. Ruddy or Mrs. Burnett with any questions. 12/3 - 12/6 - The high school and middle school will be conducting a food drive through December 6th. Food can be brought to your day 1 homeroom. Winning homerooms from both buildings will receive donuts.

The Greenhouse would like to thank Bonesteel's Gardening Center in North Bangor for their donation of plants! We are very excited to work with the wide variety of scented geraniums. Bonesteel's donated 3 different types of scented geraniums as well as parsley, succulents, ferns and several other plants. Thank you Bonesteel's!
