Project Challenge registration is open! For those of you who are not familiar with it, this is an opportunity for students in grades 10-12 to take a hands-on class at Clarkson University. The class does not receive college credit, but it gives students an opportunity to explore what they may be interested in studying at college. The program takes place at Clarkson on five consecutive Saturdays from 9:00 am until noon, beginning January 14th. Students are responsible for their own transportation. There is limited space available so this opportunity is available on a first come first serve basis. Please have your child stop in the guidance office to sign up!

SLC is focused on helping our children become career ready. We wanted to remind families of our dress code prior to the start of school. Clothing must cover areas from one armpit to the other armpit, down to the mid-thigh. Tops must have shoulder straps and be long enough to adequately cover the waistline and not expose the midriff.

Good afternoon parents, guardians and all those interested in all the amazing events our students participate in that are also presented on a live platform, so everyone can attend. We would like to explain our streaming of these events. As we all know starting in 2020 based on necessity we began to live stream these live events with varying degrees of success based on the content of the event. These streamed events have been presented with the technology the district had on hand or have purchased in the years since, however when streaming concerts it requires specialized equipment that the district is working on acquiring. With a worldwide backlog of technology equipment, it may be another six to eight months before this type of technology might be in place at St. Lawrence Central. While we work to provide a more consistent streaming platform, we would recommend attending these events in person. If you cannot attend in person, we ask that you remember that the students and their teachers have worked diligently to provide you with the best product possible. We also ask that you keep negative comments off the live stream and contact an administrator or technology office with the negative experience, so we can better serve everyone in the future.
