Seeking a qualified candidate with at least 3 years of recent secretarial experience. This is a full-time, 12 month, Exempt Civil Service position offering competitive benefits. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
This position performs highly complex secretarial duties and is accomplished in accordance with applicable procedures, rules, regulations and laws. Candidate is expected to have excellent communication and computer skills, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Must possess strong organizational and public relations skills and maintain confidentiality of information.
Candidates for the positions of Secretary to the Superintendent and District Clerks must possess the following qualifications:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail: manage schedules, emails, variety of administrative tasks while multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal communication skills are critical, as you are the first point of contact for the office/district. Must remain professional, friendly and articulate.
Always maintain sensitivity, discretion and confidentiality.
Independently maintain workload and deadlines, along with being resourceful and quick thinking, for the superintendent, board of education, administration, teachers, coaches, parents and students.
Proficient with Word, Excel and Google Docs
Knowledge of Schooltool and Frontline helpful
Be able to work evenings, when needed
